Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 tbsp food-grade matcha powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract


Preparation

In a standing mixer bowl, add butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Whisk at low to medium speed until everything creams up. Scrap the sides so that the sugar is completely incorporated with the butter.
Next, add vanilla extracts and egg. Whisk at low speed so that everything is well combined.
Now add a small part of all-purpose flour and start the mixer at low. Let it mix completely. Add the rest of the all-purpose flour after intervals, along with baking soda and matcha powder.
Once everything is perfectly blended, stop the mixer and take the bowl out of the stand.
Add chocolate chips and gently fold them in the mixture using a spatula.
Prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.
Scoop out the dough using an ice cream scoop or a tablespoon.
Place the dough balls on the baking tray. Make sure each dough ball is about 2 to 3 inches far from each other.
Place the baking tray in a preheated oven at 375-degree F for about 9 to 10 minutes.
Take the cookies out of the oven and let them sit for about 5 minutes.
Transfer them to the wire rack to cool down completely.
